This desk looks beautiful. The box is very heavy. We couldn't even lift it up to move to our office. We had to open the box and move each piece one by one, but that just shows you the quality off the wood. There are alot of pieces to this desk. It can be very overwhelming but if you take your time and organize it out, it's not that difficult. I'm a 5foot 110pound woman and I was able to put the desk together by myself. You will need someone to help you lift the top pieces of the desk. It has a lot of storage room and plenty of desk space. The black pieces are not totally black. They have brown streak lines to give it a rustic feel. If you don't feel like working on a project then I do not recommend this desk. The price for this desk is very reasonable.

A reasonable price for what turned out to be a very nice desk. Assembly required a time investment, but was very straightforward. The pieces fit together perfectly. I was concerned about the quality of the wood used in the construction, but the assembled desk really looks like a quality piece of furniture and is very solid. Plenty of storage space and a nice pull out shelf for a keyboard. Plus a cupboard for a CPU tower. I really have no complaints about this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone searching for an alternative to a higher-end solution that will still provide a reasonable level of quality.

The first thing to mention with regard to this desk is the size. Simply reading the dimensions will not prepare you for just how big this desk is. No matter what you are using this desk for, you will certainly have room to do it. My desk is currently holding 30" and 23" monitors on one half alone, with a laptop, tower, Wacom tablet and a third 22" monitor on the other half. Even with all of these items on top, I still have enough room for notebooks, binders, books, etc...Assembling this desk is fortunately a fairly easy task. I was able to assemble it from start to finish by myself, though joining the two halves of the "L" did take a bit of creativity to hold them in place until they were locked together. If you have another person helping you, it will certainly help in assembly. With the exception of joining those two parts, the assembly is painless and the instructions are clear. While the desk is constructed out of composite wood, it is of much higher quality than similar furniture. The top of the desk in particular seems very dense and is a full inch thick. After assembly, you will not have to worry about the desk moving, shifting or warping. In fact, if you ever plan to move the desk, you will be forced to disassemble it. It is that solid.One standout feature is the amount of storage you have, even without the hutch, which must be purchased separately. The cabinet for your computer tower is around 10" wide and should hold most towers on the market. Unfortunately for me, my tower is massive and will not fit inside the cabinet. There is also a shelf included in the tower cabinet with holes drilled for installation from eight inches down to about the midway point of the cabinet's height. The keyboard shelf is also large, but again if you have an oversize keyboard or mouse pad, you will have to place something on top of the desk to make room. The storage on the right hand side of the desk features a single shelf and two roll out drawers. The drawer bottoms are a bit thin, but should hold up to papers, folders or even a lightweight book or two.This desk is truly impressive in both build quality and space. Originally, I believed I would have to purchase the hutch in order to have room for all of my things. After using the desk , it is evident that I have more than enough room for everything. The materials may not be the absolute best you can buy, but they easily outclass everything in this price range. The finish on the parts is beautiful and is holding up well to everyday use. The individual parts are even finished on the backside, so you don't have to tuck the desk away in a corner. Only the tower cabinet's cardboard lacks the excellent finish as the rest of the desk. Overall, I can't recommend this desk enough. After three months of everyday use, I am as impressed with it as the day it was assembled.
