This is a really nice chair, Amazon did a great job of packaging and fast shipping. My reason for only giving it 4stars is because one of the screw holes on the left rear leg dosen't line up. The legs are held in by three large screws so I'll live with it, but I think boss manufacturing should have better quality control for such anexpensive chair. Other than that the chair is fine , well constructed and great looking.Its a little stiff, butI'm sure it will break in and be a great reading chair.

The chair is very uncomfortable. Feels like sitting on a basketball as the center of the seat is crowned up high and does not compress enough as most upholstered chairs do. The angle of the back to the seat causes you to slide forward as you try to lean into it. The inside left arm fabric, which is PLASTIC is wrinkled . The seller selectively responded to my mails but not all of them. IN MY CASE THE RETURN SHIPPING COST, WITH TRACKING AS REQUIRED EXCEEDS THE COST OF THE CHAIR.The chair cost was $ 183.00 plus about 30.00 shipping to me,return shipping cost is $ 191.00 plus a 20% restocking fee charged by the seller. There was no indication in the ad that return shipping cost would exceed original shipping cost to me. I offered to the seller also advising Amazon.com an option of donating the chair to charity in the sellers name for the tax deduction but have had no reply. SINCE THIS WAS PURCHASED THROUGH AN AMAZON.COM AD, BUT THE ITEM SHIPS FROM A NON AMAZON SOURCE, NORMAL AMAZON.COM return terms DO NOT APPLY. I have filed an A-Z claim with Amazon but as yet have had no decision rendered 15 days later. I could very well be stuck with a defective product if Amazon.com does not offer assistance in this matter.The seller did offer $ 36.60 to keep the chair as is. Not an acceptable offer for POORLY MADE, DEFECTIVE AND UNCOMFORTABLE PRODUCT.Boss Wingback Traditional Guest Chair, Burgundy , Made in China.Today, 02/23/2011, Amazon has chosen not to honor my A-Z claim, and requested I return the chair at my expense ($ at 191.00 shipping less 20 % restocking)I no longer have the original carton and the seller states must be returned in original carton. I'm stuck in the middle with a defective chair. Closing my account with Amazon. Cancelling my Amazon.com credit card.

I needed to replace a burgundy wingback chair in my guest bedroom that had gotten quite old and used looking. The new chair had to be relatively small due to the lack of space in the bedroom. The Boss wingback chair turned out to be a very pleasant surprise! It's MUCH better looking than my original chair and the design is outstanding. It arrived on time and in excellent condition with only the legs needing to be screwed on. Simple set-up. My only negative comment is that the seat area is somewhat smaller than the old chair and is raised and rounded somewhat making it less comfortable to sit on. Also this chair is not for someone who is overly well-proportioned. Having said that,it is absolutely perfect for my guest bedroom which doesn't require a more comfortable chair for reading and serves more as a place for me to throw clothes on while cleaning out the closet or hanging up clothes. It really is a great looking chair!
