Strathwood - a product by Amazon.comThe Strathwood Griffen All-Weather Wicker Chair is comfortable & roomy. Its simple, casual design will withstand changing trends in furniture styles.The chair arrives carefully packaged in a large box with no assembly required. The FedEx delivery man cut a hand hold into the box. Thankfully, nothing was damaged.The Griffen Chair appears to be well-made, with attention to detail. Constructed with an aluminum frame & feet, the chair is lightweight & strong. The aluminum frame & feet are neatly finished with a dark-brown powder coating. The cushions & throw pillow have zippered, 100% polyester, fabric covers; all of them have piping. The back & seat cushions consist of a 2" block of foam covered by polyester fiber which brings the total width of each cushion to 4". The cushions are on the firm side & very comfortable. In addition to under-seat webbing which allows the seat to move comfortably, there's a curved piece of aluminum for additional strength & safety. (see the photo I uploaded)The back has a slight slope to it so you're not sitting straight up & down. The included throw pillow is soft & fluffy. It can be arranged to give your back lumbar support if you need it. I'm 5' 3" and need to use the pillow so that I don't sit so far back in the chair. My feet even touch the floor when I use the pillow. Because there's a lot of seat depth, I'm assuming a taller person can sit comfortably in this chair too.Approximate seat measurements:Seat cushion: 25" long (front to back) x 23.5" wide (side to side) x 4" thick.Back cushion: 17" long (up & down) x 23.5" wide (side to side) x 4" thick.Pillow: 17" squareSeating area using both seat cushion & back cushion: 23 1/2" wide x 22" - 21" deep or less depending on how you place the back cushion.Amazon's product description covers cushion care & cleaning so I won't go into that. However, I will remind you that during inclement weather it's recommended to bring both the chair and the cushions indoors or securely cover them, and to store them in a dry place when not in use. I plan on spraying the cushions with a fabric protector such as this one - Scotchgard 4106D 10-Ounce Fabric and Upholstery ProtectorThis is the most comfortable wicker chair I've ever sat in. It's roomy, doesn't cut the circulation off in my legs (at the back of my knees), the cushions aren't lumpy, they're comfortable. The chair arms are smooth & not scratchy. I can rest my arms or my elbow on them without causing myself any discomfort.A product guarantee isn't mentioned. However, you may return this item sold by Amazon.com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Amazon.com will pay the return shipping cost if the return is a result of their error.A note concerning all-weather, resin wicker: It is meant to look like natural wicker, but is made of a synthetic material that requires little maintenance. It is durable, strong, resistant to humidity, water & UV radiation, & somewhat elastic which adds to the chair's comfort. It's easy to clean & can be hosed down (remove the cushions first). The color is part of the fiber & shouldn't fade.Made in China~~~~~~~~~~~~~Updated to add that I have been using this chair on an enclosed porch. It doesn't get a lot of use & has never been out in the weather.

We received these just yesterday so this isn't a long term review. Overall, we're happy. The plastic used to make the chairs IS thinner than the higher dollar ones, but that's not hard to believe. The look is great and the comfort is decent as well. We plan to get some accent pillows, because brown and beige is a bit to blah for us. I gave it 4 stars due to the thinner plastic, but that by no means detracts from the usefulness or beauty of the chair.These come exactly as the photo shows.

These chairs are very nice looking, quite comfortable, and compare favorably to chairs sold for twice the price at a local backyard store.The cushions look a little cheap - too much shine on the fabric and a lot of loose thread ends. If they don't hold up over the years, it won't be that hard to buy some good replacements, however, so I'm okay with them.We ordered four chairs with 2 day Prime shipping. For an unknown reason, although they showed as in stock and shipped immediately, the estimated delivery date was 5 shipping days away. Don't wait until the last minute to order these - they won't get there in time.It took several attempts to get the full set of four. The first chair that arrived had a bent frame. One arm was bent inward slightly, and the whole chair leaned imperceptibly to one side. We shipped it back, and the next day, the other three chairs arrived and were just fine.A week later, the replacement chair showed up missing the back cushion. Amazon customer service stated they couldn't ship just a replacement cushion, so back into the box the chair went to trek back to Amazon. At least the returns are painless - Leave it on the porch and UPS just shows up the next day to pick it up.After another week (almost three weeks after the original order, the replacement for the replacement arrived. This one was fine.It's been raining pretty much since these arrived, so I haven't had the chance to use them a whole lot, but they sure look nice.UPDATEI've used these the first few weeks of the summer and they're quite comfortable. Cushions clean easily. I have found that I get a static shock regularly from them, but no one else in the family has that problem. Must be my electrifying personality.
